Hello to the Class of '86!! Life sure goes fast. I am back in New Jersey (Vernon) after 9 year in Florida. I
attended Florida State Univ and lived in Miami for a few years. I moved back to New Jersey and met my husband,
Carlos. It's a small world: he attended Paramus Catholic and graduated in '86. We have been married for 4
years and have two beauiful daughters Elizabeth, 3 years and Rebecca, 3 months.
It's time to get out the
yearbook and place a face with all the names. I wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season. See you at
the reunion.

How to compress twenty years -- I've lived in NYC, Chicago, Scottsdale, Seville, Spain, and Los Angeles; been
a landscaper, bartender, soul-searcher, public speaker, cross-country road warrior, actor (aren't we all?),
bar manager, surfer, financial advisor, club-lounge owner, editor, and publisher; I've grown my hair to the
middle of my shoulder blades and shaved my head; I've followed the Dead and Widespread Panic, been on TV a
couple of times and some Indie films, shook hands with Bill Clinton, partied with Dennis Rodman, laughed with
Sting, wrestled with Keifer Sutherland, whispered with Ashley Judd, chilled with Vince Vaughn, and exchanged
rhetoric with Denzel Washington and Laurence Fishburne; I came all the way out here to marry a Southern
California surfer-model-photographer who believes in novels, wine, laughter, fixing cars, heart-song, foreign
cultures, museums, and hope; through the deserts and mountains and oceans of our journey we climb rocks and
write words every chance we get. I am an aspiring dramatist and hopeless romantic with two optioned scripts,
one in development, three on the horizon; as we all know, making it in this business is like getting struck by
lightning. So bring it on, Zeus! Cause man, oh, man, nothing prepares you for LA. Nothing.
Hello to all my
(old) friends, I can still see you, for those especially who have kept me in the loop, you know who you are,
and all of you have a Grand Time next month!
Peace, love, world's-children, snow, cookies, music, joy, and

I guess twenty years flies by when you are having fun! I'm in suburban Boston and have been here since coming
here for college. Happily, I did spend a year in grad school in London where I met my wife of now thirteen
years, Christel. She's a Massachusetts native, so our son Alex (nine) and daughter Katherine (seven) are Red
Sox fans (though I still cling to those Mets -- so close this year!). Our kids are wonderful and are avid
soccer players (I actually coach both of their teams, which is a blast).
On the work front, I spent the 90's
working for a strategy consulting firm (Monitor Company), with two years at business school in the middle. In
early 2000 I helped start a company called Upromise. We help families address one of their big challenges --
saving for college. We were just recently acquired by Sallie Mae and so now are part of the largest student
loan company in America.
Christel and I have stayed pretty active. She's done triathlons for the past few
years and I've become a pretty avid runner, with my first marathon (NYC) coming up in a week in a half. Should
be an adventure!
Looking forward to seeing lots of old friends in November. I've been in touch with Mike
Manasse, Jeff Jacob, Jeff Clapp, Simon Rawlinson, and John Torrente -- in addition to our fearless leader,
Michelle. Does anyone know what happened to Mr. Reamer? Hard to believe that most of our teachers have retired
by now!

Hi There Classmates,
Looking forward to the reunion next month. I have been back in the US for 3 years now,
after 10 years in Bermuda (yes, the island!!), I married my senior prom date (Matt O'Reilly of Bergen Catholic
in 1992) and we have 4 wonderful kids, 2 boys & 2 girls (12,10, 7 & 5 yrs old)
After 10 years of island
living, it was time to come back to America...and we have relocated to Villanova, PA. It's a great area!
The
posts have been amusing to say the least. I can imagine how great it will be to see everyone in person at the
reunion.
Looking forward to it...

I am an at-home Mom of two boys - Jack, 6 1/2 and Alex, 2 and after eight years living in Manhattan am now a
"suburban" Mom living in Ridgewood. My husband, Dave relocated his office to NJ so we could settle in
Ridgewood - he loves it here! I am actively involved in the Junior Woman's Club as well as volunteering as Art
Docent and other assorted things at Jack's elementary school (he is a first grader at Ridge).

What a trip!! Reading all these posting has brought back so many memories - the good, the bad and the
down-right ugly. I live in Ardsley-on-Hudson in Westchester overlooking the Hudson river. My husband and I
married in 2000 and our daughter Chloe just turned two on Oct 22nd.
Although I am home now (and loving it!)
I spent many years doing the commute into Manhattan, working for BNY and Deutsche Bank as a VP in client
services for the global custody division...Traveled a lot for work including the Midwest and Europe...Spent
way too much time at happy hours in Hoboken...Always had a share in a ski house in Vermont (ask Barry
Solon!)...Always spent the summers down the Jersey shore (still do only now the family has a place in
Mantoloking - much calmer than the Spring Lake/Belmar scene from my youth)...Earned my MBA from
Fordham...Volunteered for the youth ministry program at Presentation Church in Upper Saddle River...and most
recently, learned to curl.
I've been thinking about High School a lot lately - maybe it is because I have a
daughter now, maybe it is because my brother works at RHS now - but whatever the reason it has been fun to
remember and reconnect through this website. Thanks Michelle!!
Hope to see you all in November!

Hi Everyone -
Wow - to have a connection to all of you after soooo many years.....
I sadly moved from
Ridgewood on my 12th b'day to Ct.. Twenty years later, I attended my Weston High School reunion in August.
Although it was a lot of fun, it was with my oldest friends that I wanted to be. Those that had elementary
school memories and stories to share REALLY enjoyed themselves. Somerville School and the fun that we had
really is DEEP in my heart.
MB Borghoff said that I could be her date this year. I couldn't wait and although
I had planned on it, I am, instead, going to Florida to see my 97 year old maternal g'mother. She is probably
the ONLY reason I would miss this. As a friend pointed out, "Al, you can go to the 25th!" She was right.
I
live in Exeter, NH with my husband of 13 years, and two daughters - Margaret (Margee 7) and Sarah (10). I work
part time now as a home-based family counselor/social worker and truly love it.
I love to run and will soon
train for the Boston Marathon. I've done 2 in Burlington, Vt. which, I imagine, was a completely different
scene. Should I look for any of you in Boston? After that, long distance should end so that I can always enjoy
this stress relieving therapy! My kids are now old enough to hike, bike and ski so it's so fun to do all of
those things together.
Exeter is a wonderful place to live. Classis New England.
I haven't been to Ridgewood
in several years, but love doing the drive thrus whenever possible. Pretty upscale - mannn!!!! But the
Fireplace still stands!
Have a great time with each other and I really hope that although MB is getting
married, she will still have me as her "date" for the 25th!
With many great memories -
Alison

Hi all,
Living in Wyckoff, NJ with my wife of 12 years and three kids (Emma-7, Michael-6 and Paige 7
months). Working for a shareholder communications firm in downtown NY for the last 13 years. Looking forward
to the reunion, had a primer last night at my wife's 20 year reunion. See you in November.

Wow, how time flies. I have been living in Canada since I returned to go to University. I live in a town
called Milton, about half an hour west of Toronto, with my boyfriend, Naim. I am an elementary school Vice
Principal in a middle school and love it. I still ride Morgan horses and currently own one. My parents have a
farm about fifteen minutes away from me and they have horses as well. If you want to see pictures, you can go
to ** click on links, Canadian farms, and go to Bartliff Family, under Ontario.
It doesn't
look like I'll make it to the reunion, since we do not have the same Thanksgiving weekend, so I'll be working.
I'd love to hear from people though and hope the reunion goes well.

Why don't a recognize more of these names??? Anyway, I unfortunately will not be able to attend the reunion.
I still live in New Jersey but, down the shore and will be delivering my second child just two weeks after the
reunion date.
The 20 years did fly by in so many ways. Someone wrote they weren't quite where they expected
to be - I would have to say I am right where I envisioned. I love the town I'm in (Red Bank), my fantastic
husband, my (not to sound too biased) beautiful daughter, animals and job (as a bookstore manager for my
county's community college). I am currently getting my MBA and look forward to teaching at the college in the
near future.
I hope you all enjoy the festivities.

What fun it has been to read all these updates! It will be great to see so many old friends in November. The
only fellow '86 alum I see regularly is Aaron Lieberman. I live a charmed family life in New Paltz, New York
with my wife, Amanda, our four year old, Callie, and our 5 month old, Daphne. We look out on an organic farm
and a wide view of the Shawangunk Mountains. New Paltz is a great college town with an old fashioned sense of
community. Before settling into this more rural existence, Amanda and I lived in the East Village together for
many years, and before that I lived out in Taos, New Mexico, doing the obligatory twenty-something soul-search
through wood-working, abstract painting and modern dance. For the past ten years, I've been teaching Special
Education to middle schoolers, primarily working with students who have learning disabilities. When I'm not
tending to the needs of the dyslexic or attention deficited teenagers who are constantly paying me back for my
own obnoxious (and often hilarious) adolescence, it is quite possible you might find me writing poetry. This
is something I've done for the past twenty years, though for most of that time it has been a closeted
endeavor. They are starting to get published here and there though, and I do read now and again at various
Hudson Valley venues...Well, now that twenty years have been summed up in a paragraph, I'm gonna go make some
coffee...It'll be fun to catch up in person.

Hello everyone,
Recently I've bumped into several old friends: First of all, thanks to Renee Caputo who told
me about this site-While riding our new bikes, Atsushi and I ran into Vicki Messineo Sharo and her daughter. I
've bumped into Debbie Sauerman Dempsey from 1987 and Bettina Beirsdorf from 1985 who I haven't seen in years.
There's more of that to come. Hopefully, we'll see Samantha Riley, Janna Shepherd, Laura Stritt, Bruce
Hoffman, Mike Deki, Tom Dougherty, etc....Forgive me if I spelled your names wrong! I keep in touch with Beth
Cubberly Olsen, Noelle Chislett Edwards, Kathryn Elton, and Jen Duckworth...
I married a commercial
photographer from Kyoto, Japan. Ha! Jen predicted it way back when. Atsushi and I have lived in Brooklyn and
Manhattan, and Metuchen and we're finally back in Ridgewood! During college, I lived with a host family in
Kathmandu. I've been throughout Europe, visited Thailand, Korea and of course, Japan.
Last year I got to go
on a US Christmas tour singing with some other Westminster alums and Andrea Bocelli, Denyce Graves, the Royal
Philharmonic Orchestra and some incredible Canadian dancers. I teach voice lessons and work as a classical
singer around the area.
See everyone soon,

Hello everyone,
boy do I miss Ridgewood and N.Y. and my friends, Alison Barth, Ellen Barkenbush, Rachel
Molnar, Elizabeth Walsh and others. After living in Germany for 4.5 years, I moved back 'home' to Lancaster,
Pa. I bought a house in Strasburg (major Amish country!!) and work at a progressive veterinary hospital 5
miles away in Smoketown. I'm a veterinary technician for the past, oh, 15 yrs. I love it. Primarily avian and
exotic, but other small animals. I have a 31yr old horse (his last year, ) I can't find anyone to work for me
black Friday so I can do the 3hr drive up there...I'm trying. It's a real busy day at medical offices with the
holiday and food poisonings and whatnot. Looking for love on Match.com...well that's about it. Ruth Dalto, my
old friend, is a homeopathic Veterinarian up in Maine, by the way. So great to read about you all. Hi Alex
Crocco!! Think about you alot and our canoe trip, etc.

Hi RHS Class of '86! I didn't graduate with you all, but spent two great years during High School with you. I
recognize some people in the guest book, but others not at all. So, I am sure many of you don't remember me! I
came to Ridgewood from Dallas, TX which is where I live now with my family.Paul and I have been married 15
years (!!!) and we have 10 and 12 year old daughters. Right after we married, we lived in NYC for two years,
then moved back to Dallas to settle down with children. We really love it here, but I still have dreams about
someday living in Ridgewood. We brought the kids to Ridgewood last March during our trip to NYC. I enjoyed
lunch with Jennifer(Compton)Donofrio, Debbie Weissman and Elmo (Bob the Builder, Bob Sinton) at the Daily
Treat. SO FUN! I think we all look just the same or better even! I don't think I can make it to the reunion,
as we will be here celebrating Thanksgiving with my family in Dallas.
I have really enjoyed reading what
classmates are up to. I brings me back to wonderful memories of a really neat school and people.
Those
attending the reunion...Have fun!Maybe I will catch you at the next reunion in 5 years!

everyone in November back in Jersey (that was for Cathi Reid!)!

Hello! I moved back to NYC 3.5 years ago after 6 years in Tokyo, and am now living and working in Lower
Manhattan. I'm still in touch with the "girls" Ellen Barkenbush mentioned below, as well as JP Partland and
his lovely wife Beth. My "baby" is an old and exceptionally ugly apartment in the Village that I'm in the
process of gut renovating--hopefully it'll be much closer to completion by the time the reunion rolls around.
But if I start talking to you about bathroom tiles, feel free to run away screaming!
See you soon--

I, too, can't believe that 20 years have gone by! Doesn't seem possible...
I am living in the Washington,
DC area. I play with the National Symphony Orchestra (yup, made a career of playing the violin!). Our home is
the Kennedy Center, so if you're ever in town, come see a concert.
I have been married 5 years and we have a
3-year old daughter named Sofia. All is well, though sometimes too busy.
I'm sorry I can't make the
reunion....I have 3 concerts that weekend and I can't get out of them. Would have been fun to make the trip.
Julie Kimmerle....if you happen to read this, I met your cousin, Alexa Stott. Her daughter, Margaret Ann,
and my daughter just started at a Montessori school together and are in the same class. Small world...
Have
fun in November!

Hello Class of 1986. Where to start? The past 18 years have been great. Even with its ups and downs. Moved to
Cary N.C. with my parents in 1990 after the Army.(if you can beleive it). Moved to Clearwater Fl. 1991,married
in 1993, and returned to Raleigh N.C. 1996 our daughter April was born now age 9. I can't beleive at age 8 she
is a Tar Heel fan...nothing to do with the University . She just likes the color (baby blue). haha..I
mentioned the past 18 years were great..Unfortunatly she has been diagnosed with Leaukemia 2years ago. My
family and I have been struggling with this ever since. I hope to make this reunion your a great class and
proud to be a part of it. April is in remission now and I'm so thankful. This has been a huge financial burden
on me and our family. If anyone could help alleviate this stress by donating anything towards our hospital
bills. I would appreciate it tremendously. Anthony Bruno-1012 Cameron Wood DR.APex NC.27523 thank you and God
Bless

WOW! What a flash from the past... It's been really wild reading everyone's postings and making me feel very
nostalgic. Really very saddened to hear about Eileen's passing- I remember when she was the new kid from
Staten Island in Mrs. Staehle's 1st grade class @ Travell. May her memory be eternal, and may she rest in
peace.
I can't believe some of the names I've seen here.... First and foremost- TORIE! I never thought we'd
hear from or about you again! Was so glad to see your posting! Juan! Mujer! Que paso amigos! Your buddy Andres
misses you MUI MUCHO!!! Lon, Audrey, Gayle... do you all tell people that you were once in the BF acting Co.
and New Players with "Robert Sean Leonard" aka Bobby?!!! The greatest thing about RHS class of 1986 is that we
can not see eachother for a decade, and pick up right where we left off!
So here's the buzz... I'm single,
own a house in the Hawthorne heights(would love to own in the Heights in Ridgewood- Weren't we all supposed to
be able to afford a nice home in the town we grew up in?!!!) and still working as a Pharmacist @ St. Joe's in
Wayne;
Still love to sing- I've been singing with the New Jersey Choral Society for about 11 years
now;(Laura T. and Gayle- come and join- it'll be like A Cappella all over again!) We're moving up in the
world- have had several performances at Carnegie Hall in the past few years; Last summer we toured Prague and
Eastern Germany and this summer we performed under our own Conductor's baton at the Sydney Opera House! That
was a real joy for me- some of you might remember that this Greek boys father was born and raised in
Australia- so I've got lots of family still there... Some were able to come and see us perform. This was my
3rd trip down under and I'm sure not my last... Kirsten G... if only I knew you were living there, I could
have "rung you up!" Oh well!
Also still active at the Greek Church up in Wyckoff- See Senora Hunter from BF
there all the time and Jim Gill who with his lovely Greek wife Stephanie, is raising his children the Greek
Orthodox way!
We just had our Greek Festival this weekend; Was surpised to see Jeff Coakley and Hagop C...
(can't spell that last name w/o pulling out the yearbook... sorry Hagop! I wouldn't expect many to spell my
name w/o assistance either!)
My buddies Jeff Schlecht and Mark Richards also showed up at the Festival today
with their lovely wives and children.
Still get to see my good friends Matt R. and Ann T. a few times a
year, along w/ some of our friends from the class of '85.
All and all I think I'm pretty blessed and have
very little to complain about! I will consider myself even more blessed after we have another reunion where we
all will come to the conclusion that we were very wrong to think that 38 is anywhere near middle age!
I hope
to see alot more postings on this site as our reunion approaches...
All my best wishes to all!
Andrew
(Andy) Bacalakis
P.S... does anyone get the feeling that there are a few postings here which might belong to
another RHS?

Although I only attended RHS for one year, I fondly remember many of you from BF Jr. High and Sommerville
Elementary. I feel so blessed to have been reconnected with many of you through Classmates.Com (Michelle,
Becky, Lisa, David J. and Rob H.). As I've sat here reading your notes, a HUGE smile rests as I remember many
fun and crazy times in Ridgewood. I live in Albuquerque, NM with my husband of 13 years and my 8 yr-old son
and 5 yr-old daughter. My husband is in the USAF, so we've lived all over the US. I've worked most of my
post-college life in financial sales. Currently I'm working toward my Real Estate license. God bless you all
and have a wonderful reunion!

I must admit, I'd be more inclined to say "I can't believe it's been twenty years" was it not for all of the
gray hair I see when I look in the mirror.
I'm sure they'll post here some time soon, but I still see/talk
to Elizabeth Walsh, Rachel Molnar, and Alison Barth (now Alison Burgoyne) all the time - as recently as dinner
over the Labor Day weekend; Elizabeth and I lived around the corner from each other in Hoboken for nearly a
decade.
I'm currently living in Poughkeepsie NY, and working at the Culinary Institute of America in nearby
Hyde Park. Funny how life puts you where you never expected - my vision of the future 20 years ago wouldn't
have included living in the Hudson Valley, and it certainly didn't involve me driving a truck!
I've been
working in fundraising/nonprofit management since finishing college, mostly for higher ed institutions; I'm
happily single, and enjoy spoiling my two nieces rotten at every opportunity.
Looking forward to seeing
folks and catching up - Ellen

20 years seem to have just flown by. Thinking back now at how long ago it was makes me begin to feel old...
or is that just from me running around after 3 year old triplet boys.
Our fellow classmate, Scott Wagner, and
I married 8 years ago and, as I have said, were blessed threefold with Tyler, Zachary and Brendan. The five of
us still live in New Jersey, out in Morris County.
When I'm not chasing, or cleaning up, after the kids I
work fulltime doing social work for the State of New Jersey. I've been with the state for about 8 years and
they've been really great with the time I've needed off due to the boys.(Being that they were 3 months
premature we've had a couple health issues...both them and me).
Anyway, Scott and I are hoping to find a
courageous soul to watch our three angelic boys so that we can join you all at the reunion.
Best wishes to
all

Hi,
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again and to spending Thanksgiving in the U.S. for the first
time in 5 years. Since leaving highschool I've lived in Tokyo, London, NY, Wyckoff, Rio de Janeiro and now I'm
back in England. I've worked as an English teacher (Tokyo), an emerging market bond broker(NY & London),a
cook(Wyckoff) and I'm currently a very lazy housewife(Kent, England). I was married for 3 years, widowed on
9/11 and married again 3 years ago. My husband is a British diplomat and we have a gorgeous 3 year old son,
Joey, who we adopted in Brazil. I also live with a Brazilian family who have a 6 year old son who acts as a
big brother to Joey. Four adults raising 2 kids is definitely the way to go - even with a 4 to 2 ratio we're
exhausted!

Hello everyone. It's been wonderful to read what everyone has been up to for the last 20 years! (Yikes!) As
the rest of you I've also been blessed and have had great successes in my life. My greatest success being my
family. I have been married to my husband Sal for 16 years now. We have three beautiful kids. Ages 15, 13 &
10. We have stayed in Ridgewood with the exception of a few years down south. Our oldest son, Sal will be a
sophomore this September at R.H.S. Unbelievable! My middle son, Tomas will be in 8th grade at B.F. and has had
the same teachers as we all did. Including Mr.Stroker & Mr.Bracken. My youngest daughter, Anna is at Travell
entering 5th grade.
Besides my family I have also enjoyed being a teacher over these past years at different
schools. Currently I am teaching in Park Ridge as a basic skills teacher for children who need a little extra
help. It is really a rewarding job.
Hope this note finds you all well. I am looking forward to seeing
everyone in November.
Take care all- Alex Castellon-Arcuri

china is where i'm calling home. for the moment. it's been a whirlwind. from new york to san francisco. to
mexico. thailand. ecuador. spain. and so on. when the money ran out, it was time to work. so now i'll teach
english in china. again.
when my therapist asked where i'd be in five years, i didn't tell him it would be
here. but here i am. i turned 38 last week, sometime, and when the mayor of the city put the fish eye in my
bowl and suggested we slam back some baijo, i had a hard time saying no.
it tasted nothing like chicken.
in november i'll have nine hundred students staring at me, silentley clutching their steaming vials of tea.
i'll be running up and down rows of perfectly alligned desks, memorization tables and other unexplainable
facets of ancient chinese culture, desperately trying to give them every ounce of positive energy my body can
muster.
so i can't be there. with all of you.
but, even with so many days and months and years between us,
we can share thoughts and good energy.
and everything else it takes to keep this all going.
happy wishes
to us all. jt

Hey, I am looking so forward to the reunion. I keep remembering when Liz and Sharon threw that tomato in Dr
M's class. Can you believe no one told on them. That was the best!!!!!!!! How about when we all ditched band
class--Sharon started that one. I have 9 children ranging from 21 years old to 3 weeks old.

Hi all. I can't believe it's 20 years either! (I still see myself as 17!) I have been busy over the years,
like you all. Did the college thing for a Loooong time and am now an RN. I am married with a 3 year old
daughter and #2 due in February. I am living in Oradell... and working in Ridgewood. I hope to be able to make
it to the reunion but am not sure of our plans yet. It's great to read what you all have been up to.

It's been so fun reading all of these messages! You know, I think I have pictures from the early 80's of most
of the people in the guestbook! Hope no one minds, I may scan some in and post them for fun. One was from
Michelle's 16th birthday party - with lots of you guys in the picture! Too fun - Becky

OK, we can all excuse Carolyn for the shameless plug on her store ;-)
Anyway, my 20 years have been better
than I had ever wished for!
I became a EE coming from SUNY Buffalo and have been in various wireless
technology roles in the past 20 years. I have traveled to many areas of the world.
I was fortunate enough to
be recruited by a startup company that was recently purchased by Qualcomm and I have since retired. I am a
stay at home dad (the coffee clutches with the stay at home moms are interesting to say the least!!) and I
care for my 6 year old daughter Sabrina and my 4 your old son Zachary.
My wife Diana and I live in Long
Valley, NJ which is in the county of Morris (near Chester / Mendham) She runs Marketing for Verizon Wireless
in the Eastern portion of the United States.
The kids keep me busy but I have become an avid woodworker,
travel alot (scuba diving, etc) and I race my "toy" at area racetracks several times a year with the Porsche
Club of America.
I am probably 25 pounds heavier than when I was in high school but I have all my hair and I
STILL LOOK GOOD !!
I am going to try and make this as I would love to sync up but right now with the holiday
logistics I have about a 50/50 shot.
Hope to see you soon

Hey everyone, It is great to read everyone's messages. I am planning on being at the reunion. I try my best
not to miss a party. I am still local living in Oradell, N.J. with my two terrific kids Jaclyn 12 and Dan 9.
It scares me to think that my daughter is starting middle school... Do you remember some of the things we did
in middle school!!!!! I am currently in the process of a divorce. Iam keeping healthy and busy with my martial
arts training as well as instructing fitness classes and keeping up with the kid's schedules. Nice message

Michelle, thanks for organizing this.
I've been married 6 years now to Anne Gammons, Audrey's old roommate
in Hoboken. (Audey was always looking out for me)We have 3 girls, Elizabeth, Charlotte, and Tess, 4, 2, and 9
weeks. If you start late, you have to stack 'em up quick.
We just moved to Newport News, I'm working at the
shipyard there. Since Rutgers and a 4 year stint in the Port of NY/NJ I've been moving every two years or so
for school or work, Vancouver BC, Charlottesville VA, Grand Rapids MI, Lewiston ID, Media PA, Fort Worth TX,
and now back to VA. I've been working for the same small Vancouver company for eight years, not counting two
years living out a nightmare managing a factory for this 3rd string chocolate company in Philly. Why are
people so bitter? Because the stakes are so small. Anyway, the Vancouver company and work is good, I'm seeing
the States one small town at a time.
Anne really wants to be in the North East, but VA counts for her as
being on the outer edges of Western Civilization, and most importantly, it ain't Texas. It's all good, the
kids are still young and can be uprooted without too much trauma, but someday I'll have to figure out what I
want to do.
If you were involved in the band, you really need to go on the web and check out a
country/western band called Chute Nine. Tell me if you recognize Stingray. I'd post his real name here, but I
don't want to blow his cover.

Wow. This message board sure brings back some old memories. Michelle, SO great that you put this and the
reunion together (and quite brave of you as well). I will CERTAINLY be at the reunion and can't wait.
Memories from high school eh? ... but where does one start? Skiping the prom to go the Jersey shore
...Chris D hanging a 'FOR SALE' sign on the school the day before graduation ...Having gin and tonics on the
front lawn during lunch ...Gradually driving Dr. M (chem teacher) nuts during the course of the year ??? Its
been so long I guess I do forget the names but the memories are all still vivid. Can't wait to share more at
the reunion.
Ah yes....quick update on me...I am a climate scientist in Boulder Colorado at the National
Center for Atmospheric Research, joyously married with 3 (gulp) kids [1,3,8] who together are the loves of my
life . [And yes I'm one of those tree-huggers you've been reading about.] Also find time to skip work on
occasion and ski/snowboard+play squash/tennis (Gee....just like chem class eh?)Went to grad school at
CU-Boulder (yes we do get such good press these days, don't we?) after undergrad in Ithaca, NY. That's pretty
much the past 20 yrs I guess.
Can't wait to see you all, if not at this one, at the next!

Hope everyone has a great time in November - we will be here with family for the holiday

Hi all
Sadly I won't be able to make the reunion as I now live in Perth, Australia. Certainly 20 years ago I
would never have predicted I'd end up here!
After college I lived in Chicago until moving to London in 2000
for work. I met my husband, Andrew (an Aussie) in London and we now have two children, Sam (2) and Evie (3mo).
We moved to Australia just over a year ago, and aside from missing friends and my family in the states, life
here is fantastic, not to mention warm and sunny. If anyone is ever in Perth, definitely look me up.
Have a
fantastic time at the reunion, and be sure to post pictures and stories afterward. Keep in touch,
xxoo

Hi Folks,
I doubt many of you remember me as I attended only one year after relocating from Texas. We
relocated again after graduation to Philadelphia where most of my family still lives.
I spent 15 of the last
20 years in the Philly and New York area working and attending undergraduate and graduate school.
I am now
back in Texas now (last 5 years) with my wife and two sons. I will always cherish being part of the "first and
finest" graduating class of Ridgewood HS and how welcome everyone made me feel, even if it was only for a
year.
I will unfortuately be unable to attend due to the date. I hope everyone is doing well.
Take care
and KIT.

WOW!! 20 years! Unbelievable. Look on the bright side...at least we're not 40 yet!
It's great to see all
the posts here and to know a number of us we'll see each other this November. I'm fortunate that Mom still

well.
Michelle--it's great to hear your update and thanks for leading the charge on this reunion. I'm in
Baltimore now with my wife, Elizabeth, and three boys (7-1/2, 6 and 3). They're awesome and life is quite
full. So much has happened in the past 10 years. I'll save the long stories for November. We'll have to try

Hello Class of '86--I've really enjoyed your postings and can't wait to see those of you who will make it to
the reunion.
I've had an exciting 20 years since graduation and an amazing amount of fun. A quick
highlight--lived in Boston for college, moved to Hoboken and worked in New York then on to San Francisco. I've
been in California for 10 years and last year married an amazing man, Scott Hellar!
My career has been in
advertising, mostly the software/internet industry and the last 3 years with marketing high-end appliances and
kitchen design. In the near future, my husband would like my new career to be "MOM". No news yet...stay tuned.
:-)
My new favorite sport--GOLF!! I'm addicted. Did RHS have a girls golf team?
See you in November!
Fond Regards,

Wow! Can't wait to see everyone. I really can;t wait to see people, it has been too long.
Life has been
amazing since high school! Just amazing! Still in touch with folks regularly, Jim McCallum and Barry Solon.
Got back in touch with John Torrente about two years ago. He is doing great, a photographer now. He is
currently in Brazil and then off to China again where he will be teaching English and Photography. Still keep
in touch with Simon Rawlinson. He got married and lives in LA where he is writing screen plays. Just got back
in touch with Mike Libenson after too many years. He is the one who got me here to the site. Jim, Barry, Mike
and I will definately be in attendance.
A lot has happened in the past twetny years much of which I look
forward to sharing when I see you all and hearing what is going on for you. A somewhat quick synposis:
I
have been married twelve years this October to my beautiful wife, Donna. We have no kids yet but that is not
too far off in our future. I look forward to the joys of being a parent. Donna is currently in her Masters
program at The New School in NYC where she is majoring in Media Communications and Documentary Film. We both
fly down to Peru in August to the remote areas of the Amazon that broder Brazil to film our first documentary!
That's right, Clapp is movinig on to be a film director! You can check out the project at
** Donna and I have also started a non-profit company called Where Peace Lives,
Creating Peace Through Art and Media. The site is ** Our first major project is a
global mural exchange program that will be created with over 100,000 middle school to highschool level
students from around the globe over the next several years. The focus of the mural is to have our future
leaders tackle head on the questions of how to bring about peace now. The mural will also travel as a moving
exhibition, similar to the Gates by Christo that were in Central Park last year. We are working with UN
ambassadors to set up all the contacts in the countries we are asking to particpiate. It is what Donna and I
have given our lives over to now and I love it!!!!
Full time right now I am the Art Director for a
publishing house in Tinton Falls, NJ. ** Been here for six years. Love what I do and the
people I work with. Before that I was in web design and advertising at McCann Erickson in NYC and Hewson
Group. Before coming back to NYC I lived in California for two years, miss that! Saw Simon often then which
was good.
On a personal development level I started taking programs with Landmark Education, formally known
as EST back the 70s, which opened up incredible new doors for me including the path of getting into film and
strating my own business. Most importantly it got me reconnected to my passion for painting. I have been doing
fine art now for four years, selling my work and finding great peace in it. You can check out my site at
** where Donna's work as a photographer is also hosted.
So that is the somewhat quick
synopsis of twenty years...I can't wait to catch up with you all, one night will not be enough! Michelle, I
personally want to acknowledge and thank you for the tiureless efforts you have always put in to keeping us a
community and a family over the years. You never give up on any of us and I just want you to know how dear to
my heart you are and I can't wait to see you and give you a great big HUG!!!!
Lot's of lovbe to all of you.
Keep sharing on here, I will read it often.
Peace and God bless,

Dearest Classmates,
So much fun to read all the postings!
Nothing earth-shattering to reveal regarding my
life since High School, only to say that I have been blessed. Have made and kept great friends, enjoyed good
health, been challenged by my global publishing job, had great times being single, and then in March of 2001,
met my wonderful husband, Tom Darby. We married in October 2002, bought a really cool apartment in Manhattan,

Hey there to the class of 1986! Not sure if I'll make the reunion but it sure is nice to see some of your
names up here!
I'm still in the area, Mahwah to be exact. I work in Montvale in Medical Publishing of all
things. I'm married and have two beautiful girls. I'm trying to get back into skiing and rock climbing - two
pursuits that I really got into before having kids. Unfortunately, working full time and having a 14 month-old
who would rather play than sleep puts a crimp in my exercise regime. Ran the Ridgewood Run a few weeks ago,
though, and that was a nice trip down memory lane.
Hope everyone is doing well! I hope more people will sign
here 'cause I love to hear about what everyone is up to.
Oh, and Michelle, Al Bennett was my favorite
teacher too. Truly, he was the best teacher I ever had (despite the fact that I hated him with a passion
Junior year!) and I miss him a whole lot.
Best to everyone -

Hello everyone! It is nice to hear everyone is doing well. I can hardly believe it's been 20 years. I am now
a practicing attorney at Ferro and Ferro in Ridgewood. I concentrate in the areas of bankruptcy, personal
injury, real estate, criminal and civl litigation.
The past 20 years have been great-no complaints. Recently
divorced, I spend my time between exercising, vacationing and playing poker. My poker 'skills' have resulted
in one WSOP Circuit event final table and one televsion appearance. Who knows, maybe you will see me on ESPN
one day!
It's funny, when I hear an 'old' song on the radio, I can't help but to think of the school dances
we had. One song that comes to my mind Billy Idol's 'Dancing With Myself.'The music, the clothes, the
hairstyles seem to be a product of an era more bygone than the 1960s.
I am looking forward to seeing
everyone. For a recent photo of me go to reunion.com RHS 1986.

Hey Class of 1986!
What have I been up to for the past 20 years? Not much and a whole lot! I'm married,
have two kids, two dogs, and one cat. I worked for Toys R Us in the corporate office. We played with toys all
day...ha, just kidding! Still live in town not far from where I grew up. Don't know about the reunion since I
think I'll be on the west coast. Maybe I'll see some of you hanging around town. Best wishes!

Hey classmates!
Reading these comments makes me even more excited to get to the reunion in November!
Please feel free to share here what you've been up to, contact information (just realize that this is a
public site), perhaps a favorite high school memory or your most memorable teacher... anything, really!
Contribute as much as you like! The more memories we share, I'll bet, the more we'll be able to recall!
Regarding comments on changing the date: I am sorry that not everyone will be able to make it, but the date
is set, and given the busyness of everyone's lives, I imagine that any date we pick would be difficult for
some of us. If you cannot make it, please stay in touch for the next reunion, and perhaps share some contact
info so friends can get back in touch with you.
A quick update from me: I'm in West Chester, PA (Philly
suburb) with hubby and two boys (Charlie is 8 and Georgie is 1). My life has been marked by your usual
milestones--marriage, kids, jobs (I now teach English at West Chester U.)--as well as some perhaps less common
ones--have lupus and am involved with helping the chronic illness population, even had my hip replaced!
(Overall, doing great, thank God!) I can definitely say that my life is not as I had imagined it when I
graduated 20 years ago! But I can also say that I wouldn't change a thing.(Okay, not-so-quick an update.)
Let's see... favorite teacher had to be Big Al Bennett, of American Studies: cigars on the Breezeway, was
it?, and I seem to remember a beard but no eyebrows? He predicted once that I'd end up barefoot and pregnant
(which I was, at two points, I guess!).
I'm excited to see as many of you as possible!

I am very excited about the reunion and am fortunate enough to still have family in the Ridgewood area who I
can visit over Thanksgiving (coming all the way from San Francisco, where I've been for the past 15 years.)
I'm really looking forward to catching up with old friends (had fun running into Jen Crimmins Sterne at our
local playground last year!)
See you in November!

Hi everyone. Hope some of you remember me as I have remembered some names here.
Would love to make this,
but weekend is bad. Hi to all. Hope you are all well.

Hello to all!
Making it to a reunion over Thanksgiving is going to be tough to schedule without any family
in Ridgewood, not to mention one of the most expensive weekends of the year to fly! But hopefully I'll find a
way to make it. Hope you are all well!
Best wishes,
Catherine

Hey, anyone out there remember me? Anyway, 20 years, that's insane. At least we all still look the same,
right? haha. Dates will be next to impossible living out of state, but I look forward to reading the guest
book. Hope life has been good to everyone.

To whomever is planning this reunion...I suggest that you pick a date that works well for you. Trying to
accommodate a few (hundred?) people is an exercise in futility and frustration. Best of luck and I look
forward to seeing those who can make it!

Hi Ya'll
Greetings from New Orleans....I agree with Roger....Can the date be changed? For many years my
family and I have been going to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for the Thanksgiving festivities...It's like our own
"family" reunion. Unfortunately last year we were unable to go due to the effects of Hurricane Katrina. This
year we have planned a "Special" getaway from all the devastation of the New Orleans area. If the date can't
be changed I'll try and make the next reunion....

Hello,
How is the Class of '86??? I have only one question, is there any other weekend this can be planned
for?? Thanksgiving weekend is very difficult for alot of people that live out of state. Just wondering.
Besides, I am building a house and plan to have my family and my wife's family over for the first major
holiday in my new home. If it must be then it must be, but I hope that it can change to an earlier date.

Reinhardt Family:
